What We Do
Bali gets strong tropical sun nearly all year round, which makes it one of the best places anywhere to run a solar water heater. A rooftop solar system can cut the electricity you spend on hot water by 60–80%, and since hot water is one of the biggest loads in a villa, that adds up fast. We assess your roof, size the system to your household's real hot water demand, supply the panels and tank, and handle the complete installation — mounting, plumbing, the electric backup element and all connections — testing everything before we hand it over.
Solar is the best long-term value option we install, especially for villas with two or more bathrooms and owners or managers who plan to keep the property for a few years. The upfront cost is higher than an electric heater, but the running cost is close to zero, and a well-installed system needs very little attention.
What's Included
- Roof assessment — we check orientation, sun exposure and structural load before recommending a system. A full tank of water on a panel is heavy, so the roof has to be right.
- System sizing — tank capacity and collector area matched to your number of bathrooms and usage, so you have hot water when you need it.
- Supply of panels and tank from reputable suppliers, or installation of a system you have sourced.
- Complete mounting and plumbing — collectors, tank, all pipework lagged where needed and connected to your existing hot water lines.
- Electric backup element wired in for rainy spells, so you never run cold.
- Full test and handover — we run the system, check for leaks and explain how it works.
How We Install It — Step by Step
- 1. Survey. We inspect the roof for sun exposure, orientation and load capacity, and confirm where the tank and panels will sit.
- 2. Mount. Collectors and tank are fixed on proper rated frames, positioned for maximum sun and safe access.
- 3. Plumb. Cold feed, hot draw-off and the collector loop are connected and lagged, then tied into your existing hot water plumbing.
- 4. Wire backup. The electric backup element and any controller are wired on a protected circuit.
- 5. Commission. We fill the system, bleed it, run it through a heating cycle, check every joint and confirm performance before leaving.
Why Solar Makes Sense in Bali
The biggest myth we hear is that solar "doesn't work when it's cloudy." Solar collectors respond to daylight and UV, not only direct sun, so they keep producing hot water on overcast days — just less than in full sun. That is exactly why every system we install includes an electric backup element: on the rare long rainy stretch, the backup quietly tops up the tank, and the rest of the year the sun does the work for free. For a multi-bathroom villa, the saving on the electricity bill typically pays back the installation within two to three years, after which your hot water is essentially free.
Pricing
Installation labour starts from IDR 2,500,000, with the system (panels and tank) quoted separately depending on size. We give you the full figure upfront — system, materials and labour — so you can see the payback before committing. See full pricing →

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a solar water heater work on cloudy days in Bali?
Yes. Solar collectors respond to daylight and UV, not just direct sun, so they still heat water on overcast days, though less than in full sun. Most systems include an electric backup element for rainy stretches, so you never run out of hot water.
How much can a solar water heater save on my Bali electricity bill?
Hot water is one of the biggest electricity loads in a villa. A correctly sized solar system typically cuts that portion by 60–80%, which for a multi-bathroom villa usually pays back the install cost in 2–3 years and then runs near-free.
Is my roof suitable for a solar water heater?
You need a section of roof with good sun exposure (ideally north-facing in Bali) and enough structural strength to carry the panel and a full tank of water. We assess the roof, orientation and load before recommending a system size.
How long does solar water heater installation take?
A standard residential solar system takes from half a day to a full day depending on roof access, mounting and plumbing runs. We usually schedule it for the day after your enquiry so we arrive with the right system for your property.
